Clark Atlanta College (CAU) has gained a $10 million award from the Nationwide Science Basis (NSF) INCLUDES program to ascertain an initiative geared toward expanding the collection of Black other folks in records science and advance social justice within the box.
The Nationwide Information Science Alliance (NDSA) targets to extend the collection of Black other folks incomes records science credentials by means of no less than 20,000 by means of 2027 and increase records science analysis advocating for social justice.
The initiative will facilitate engagement throughout HBCUs.
Dr. Talitha Washington, director of the Atlanta College Middle Consortium (AUCC) Information Science Initiative and professor of arithmetic at Clark Atlanta College, is the lead and primary investigator of the grant.
